A Day in the Life of Tory Burch

05:45 "Get up and flip through WWD and the New York Times, put on a T-shirt and shorts and wake up my 11-year-old twins, Nick and Henry, to go for a run in the park. Now that they are older they have started coming with me in the morning. I love starting the day with them.
07:00 Wake up my youngest son, Sawyer, and start the morning trying to get my three boys showered, fed and out the door for school.
08:15 After showering, I get dressed and drop the boys off at school. I answer emails that have come in from Europe and Asia overnight while stuck in traffic heading across town.
09:30 Arrive at Jazz at Lincoln Center to go see my friend Gayle King. She invited me to be on her radio show on the Oprah & Friends network this morning. She has such a dynamic personality and we have a great time.
10:45 Get to the office and sit down with my assistants, Kristi and Caroline, to start making plans for my trip to India this summer. I am going with a few members of our design team and one of my step-daughters on an inspiration trip.
11:30 Meet with our vice president of sales for Europe, Elisa, while she is in town to see the Holiday 2009 collection. I am thrilled to hear that the reaction to the spring collection has been incredible in specialty and department stores throughout Europe.
13:00 At Cipriani for a lunch being thrown for my good friend Jamie Tisch while she is in town from LA. I can only stay for a little while because I have a meeting back at the office. Have a great time catching up with old friends.
14:00 Back at the office looking at the options for our new eyewear fixtures and reviewing marketing materials we will use for the launch. Our first collection of eyewear will be in stores in October and we just saw the final samples. They look fantastic.
15:30 Go out to Randall's Island to watch Nick and Henry's lacrosse game. They look like they are having a great time and come off the field covered in mud and grass stains with big smiles on their faces.
17:00 At my apartment getting ready for tonight and helping the boys with their homework. I am having my design team and step-daughters over for dinner and a movie, which is always inspirational.
18:00 Order takeout from my favorite Thai restaurant, Kelly and Ping, and set everything up in the kitchen buffet style in big wooden bowls so everyone can help themselves. Put out my Mariposa plates with bamboo cutlery and the embroidered napkins I brought back from a trip to Marrakesh.
18:45 Stephanie, the head of our design team, arrives with the rest of the group and brings me a bouquet of coral peonies, my favourite. We decide to watch the original Pink Panther movie that was released in 1963. Claudia Cardinale looks so chic in her YSL costumes.
21:00 I let the boys stay up past their bedtime and Sawyer has fallen asleep on the couch. Get the three of them off to bed and thank my team for coming.
22:30 After cleaning up, I get in to bed with a new book and fall asleep three pages in."
